The Celestial Records speak of the existence of the "Seraphim," a race of divine beings who give blessings to humanity and are offered prayers by them in return. Those who are anointed with the ability to interact with these spirits are known as "Shepherds." Hailed as heroes for their prompt appearances in times of crisis, while also being feared for their power, the Shepherds are imprinted in common folklore along with the Seraphim. Sorey is a young human who has spent his entire life living in harmony alongside the Seraphim in the village of Elysia. Fascinated by the myths of the Celestial Records, he explores some nearby ruins with Mikleo—his childhood Seraphim companion—hoping to enlighten himself about the Seraphims' history with mankind. Unfortunately, they become trapped in the depths of the historical site during their investigation. While searching for an exit, they come across a mysterious girl who desperately seeks the help of a Shepherd to save the world, which is on the brink of being consumed by darkness. Despite Mikleo's warning about making contact with other humans, Sorey decides to help the stranger, which unknowingly leads him closer to the dream of peaceful coexistence between man and Seraphim. I gotta admire Alisha's fighting spirit even though she was at a disadvantage. As for the finale, I did like how it sets up for more events in the future. Plus, we got Lunarre making an appearance as well. Sorey and Alisha got a nice little moment, glad to see that she's happy to have met him and vice versa and the squire contract thing. Season 2 should be interesting to see, can't wait for it. I want to see how far they take their adventure. 8/10.

DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well the segment of Alisha this episode after meeting the others is quite similar to the OVA. Rest of the episode is what I liked with the character focus. Alisha still has some PTSD moments as well. Sorey already developed some trust with Alisha too. What a bro. Lunarre scares me this episode D: feels like he's even stronger than before. Beautiful ending imo.

It was a solid episode even with a bit of background storytelling. Sorey also learns more about his role in this struggle. Sadly, the finale will be delayed to next month. Kinda interesting to see Rose handing Zaveid the hat that Dezel gave to her as a way of entrusting his strength to him.

Sorey goes gets his power boost again, felt like deja vu. Pretty intense episode imo. Edna seems like an interesting character especially with the little flashbacks about her already.

Decent episode though. I like how Alisha took on a leadership-like role again for the group to show what she's capable of. Plus, I think the episode did a decent job at portraying Lilah's role as well up to this point. The town seems to be still recovering from the Hellion attacks.. Sorey becoming more well known for his Shepherd status doesn't surprise me. I think the idea of purifying humans is something he'll have to get used to.

RIP Alisha's father. Glad to see that they came on time as well. That segment with Sorey using his Shepherd powers is quite something (Season 2 OST release when). Also, Rose deserves some credit for her effort imo. What a comeback for her and the others.

I think the episode explored more of Rose's character including her past and how it affected her present self especially with the way she reacted in that forest. At least Sorey believes in her. I still feel really bad for her past though. No wonder she's changed.
